Kefalonia

Kefalonia is an island of beaches and history. You'll find that tourists have not found this island yet for the most part. This is always where I end up going unless I go here first. It's a 4 hour ferry ride from Patras.

Myrtos Beach is a regular choice for top ten beaches in the world.

I discovered the Odysseus Unbound Project on this island. This project stems from a book by Robert Bittlestone concerning the mysterious and much debated location of the true island of Ithaca as described by Homer. Earthquakes in this region have affected the landscape of Greece.The true island of Ithaca is not the modern island of that name.

You will actually find the true Ithaca here. It is the real home of Odysseus.
